Palehua Trail Rides’ breathtaking mountain vista trail is waiting for you on Oahu’s sunny west side. Whether it’s your very first time in the saddle or you’re a confident rider, our guided walking horseback tour offers a peaceful, and totally unforgettable escape.

This is one of the only trail rides on Oahu that takes you into private conservation lands closed to the general public — a rare chance to see the island from a whole new perspective.

Our tours begin in the cool uplands of Kapolei, just above Ko Olina. As you ride along the Wai‘anae mountains, you’ll soak in sweeping views of the west and south shore coastline, spot wildlife, and experience the quiet beauty of a place most visitors never get to see.

Great Ride!

Was a wonderful experience, especially for a first time rider! The horses were great, Vic, Manny, and Bjorn, each really showing their different personalities (hilarious btw). Our guide Alyssa was amazing and we learned so much on the ride! Would highly recommend if anyone is looking to do something so unique, with friendly people guiding you and gentle creatures, plus amazing views to boot - you’re in for a great ride!

Amazing Horesback Riding Experience, Hope to Return!

This horseback riding was a highlight of our vacation. Jenny was responsive to our questions and really pleasant. Riding around the mountain trails felt like we were riding above the clouds, such a scenic and unique experience. The horses were well trained and well behaved. Jenny provided us a really awesome and positive experience so much that my kids want to take up riding when we return home. One advice when driving up, is to keep going and keep right when there’s a fork in the road, all the way to the end of the road where it becomes a gravel road, you’ll see a clearing to park. My kids said they would rate their experience a billion out of ten! We really enjoyed our horseback riding, we hope to return!
